ON THE JOB ACTIONS
Framework
Read 'Team Effectiveness Model' and review your team against the descriptors. Involve them in the discussion if you can. What is going well? What needs some attention? What stage of team development describes your team? Has anything changed recently? If so, you may need to take action to settle things into Performing mode again.
Processes
Review the team’s processes and procedures to ensure they are clear and achieve the required result. Seek feedback in team meetings about how well processes are working.
Communication
Read 'Managing Information Effectively' and ensure that you take account of different requirements for communicating at different levels of detail and big picture. Use familiar and consistent formats and headings.
Celebrate
Find time, as a group, to celebrate team successes. Let others in the organisation know about the good things that your team (not you) are doing. Give specific examples of contributions from team members and make those examples visible and public if appropriate.
